MSP360 Explorer PowerShell snippets for Amazon Glacier

As always we are adding features to make it easier for our customers to use the functionality to offer the most compelling Amazon S3, CloudFront, IAM, and Glacier client on Windows platform.
MSP360 S3 Explorer has supported Glacier for quite some time now.  We introduced the Glacier support in September, followed by supporting encryption and compression and finally Amazon S3 to Glacier archiving.
Since the very first release, MSP360 Explorer featured PowerShell extension to automate Amazon S3 and CloudFront tasks. The latest release of MSP360 Explorer comes with a PowerShell extension that helps users automate Glacier tasks and integrate it with other PowerShell routines. The extension includes commands such as create, delete vaults, copy and move data to Glacier, create Inventory and Retrieval jobs and create Lifecycle policies.

Controlling Storage Costs With MSP360 Backup

MSP360 S3 Backup is a powerful Windows program that automate backup and restore processes to Amazon S3 cloud storage.
In the latest release we are introducing an option to estimate cloud storage costs. You can set up cost estimates per the storage account on the account configuration dialog. You can also setup the limit in GB and in $ that when reached will stop the backup.  The software will automatically calculate the costs based on the current storage price offered by the storage provider. Currently Amazon S3 charge 0.125/GB per month.  The software will also send an alert to the users when the storage is about to reach the limit.

MSP360 Backup is a powerful Windows program that automates backup and restoration processes to Amazon S3 cloud storage.
Sometimes you may want to restore the newer version of the file on the target computer over the existing (Older) version. This is particularly important in the Sync scenario, where you want to have your target folder look exactly as the source. In the previous version of MSP360 Backup, that would not be possible and you could just force overwrite every file in regardless of the modification date. This would cause a lot of unnecessary restore operations.
In the newer release, we have added the Restore only new files option so that only the files with newer modification date could be restored. This option is available on the Restore Wizard, Destination step. Continue reading

With the MSP360 Backup release 2.3 we have added the functionality that would back up only the modified blocks of the files to the cloud storage making the overall backup process faster and more efficient.  This feature had one serious limitation -you could only take advantage of it for files larger than 5GB.
