What is unattended remote access?
Unattended remote access allows an authorized user to connect to a remote computer without another person having to approve the connection each time. It is useful for office computers, servers, and other systems that you may need to reach when nobody is physically present.
How does unattended access work with MSP360 Connect Pro?
On a supported Windows remote computer, enable unattended access in Connect. Instead of asking someone at the remote computer for a rotating PIN, Connect Pro can authenticate the connection using authorized Windows credentials and, if configured, an additional custom password.
Does MSP360 Connect Pro work on macOS?
Yes. MSP360 Connect Pro supports Windows and macOS. From a Mac, you can use Connect to establish remote desktop sessions with supported Windows, Windows Server, and macOS computers.
Can I use unattended access with a remote Mac?
No. Connect supports remote access to macOS computers, but unattended access is currently supported only when the remote host is Windows. Connections to a remote Mac use attended access.
Can I connect to Windows Server with unattended access?
Yes. Supported Windows Server systems can be configured for unattended access, making it possible to reach a server when nobody is physically present at the machine.
How many computers can I save with Connect Pro?
Connect Pro allows up to 25 devices in the address book, compared with five devices in Connect Free.
Can I still use attended remote access with Connect Pro?
Yes. You can establish attended connections to Windows and macOS computers when someone at the remote computer is available to authorize the session.
What is the difference between Connect Free and Connect Pro?
Both editions support remote connections to Windows and macOS. Connect Pro adds unattended access for Windows hosts, increases the address book from 5 to 25 devices, and raises the Windows file-transfer limit from 10 MB to 1 GB.
