To make license purchase and management more flexible, we offer monthly and yearly purchasing options. All you have to do is make sure you purchase enough licenses to keep your Backup subscription up and running.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>You can select the payment mode (monthly or annual) with the first purchase only.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For MSP360 Managed Backup, we offer three license types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Per-computer licensing<\/strong> - the first five types on the list that are installed on a computer<\/li>\n<li><strong>Per-host licensing<\/strong> - for the virtual machine edition<\/li>\n<li><strong>Per-user licensing<\/strong> - for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 backup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55098 aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screenshot_158.png\" alt=\"Buy new licenses\" width=\"507\" height=\"697\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screenshot_158.png 507w, https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Screenshot_158-218x300.png 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 507px) 100vw, 507px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not sure which backup license suits your needs best, click the <strong>Compare editions<\/strong> button to find out more about supported features.<\/p>\n<h2>Unified Billing<\/h2>\n<p>With MSP360 Managed Backup, you can use any cloud storage vendor that fits your needs. This also means that you pay for the backup licenses in the Backup console itself, while you pay for the storage used in the interface of your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/blog\/3-steps-to-choosing-a-cloud-storage-provider\/\">cloud storage provider<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To add an additional layer of flexibility, MSP360 introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/blog\/a-guide-to-unified-billing-in-msp360-managed-backup-service\/\">Unified Billing<\/a> feature in MSP360 Managed Backup, which represents a \u201cone-stop shop\u201d approach. Using integrated storage options powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/solutions\/amazon-s3-backup\/\">AWS<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/partners\/wasabi\/\">Wasabi<\/a>, you can manage your backups and storage in one place; all payments are processed inside MSP360 Managed Backup.<\/p>\n<h2>MSP360 Connect Managed Licenses<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/connect\/\">MSP360 Connect Managed<\/a> requires a separate Connect or RMM+Connect license. These licenses are based on a per-admin approach, with an unlimited number of simultaneous connections for an administrator, and come with a 15-day free trial.<\/p>\n<p>To connect remotely to a computer from the Management Console, you can either use a separate Connect web control panel or start using the product within the MSP360 Managed Backup console.<\/p>\n<h2>MSP360 RMM Licenses<\/h2>\n<p>Each <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/rmm\/\">MSP360 RMM<\/a> license also comes with a fully functional 15-day free trial and is based on a per-admin approach, with an unlimited number of endpoints for each administrator. The Connect license is included, so you can connect to an unlimited number of machines remotely at no additional cost.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>You don\u2019t have to own MSP360 Managed Backup to start using MSP360 RMM or MSP360 Connect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>License Management with the MSP360 Platform<\/h2>\n<h3>Trial Licenses<\/h3>\n<p>With MSP360, you can take a 15-day free trial of any product you need. Moreover, we don\u2019t limit the products\u2019 functionality during the trial, so you can test all the products on endpoints under your command to find out whether the solution suits your needs.<\/p>\n<p>To start a trial on a computer, go to the <strong>Downloads<\/strong> tab and switch on the required agent version. Then, download and install it on a computer.<\/p>\n<p>Once it\u2019s installed, you will need to assign that computer to a user in order to start the trial. To do this, go back to the <strong>MSP360 Web Console<\/strong>, <b>Computers <\/b>tab, <strong>Remote Management<\/strong> section, and find the computer in question. You will see an overview of all the licenses you currently manage, including trial and activated ones. Click on the license type to see the expiration date and license details. By default, all licenses come with an auto renewal feature; you can also check the <strong>Next Renewal Date<\/strong> on this tab, unless it was cancelled manually. On this tab you can also delete multiple expired licenses in bulk. To do that click the <strong>Group Actions<\/strong> button on the right and choose an applicable option from the drop-down list. Manual activation is required for purchases with a formal quote as well. If this is your first license purchase in MSP360 Managed Backup, you will be offered a choice between yearly and monthly payment.<\/p>\n<h2>License Allocation<\/h2>\n<p>Within the MSP360 Managed Backup web console, you can configure license allocation for users or companies.<\/p>\n<p>To change the license allocation configuration for companies, proceed to the <strong>Organization<\/strong> tab and select <strong>Companies<\/strong>. Choose a company from the list, click <strong>Edit<\/strong> and choose <strong>License Settings<\/strong> from the menu. Once you\u2019ve changed the company settings, they will be applied automatically to all users within the company.<\/p>\n<p>To change the license allocation settings for users, create or edit a user\u2019s profile on the <strong>Organization<\/strong> tab, <strong>Users<\/strong> section. By default, licenses are allocated from the global pool, but you can switch them to the user pool to limit the number of paid licenses a user can activate.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Please note that if a user is assigned to another company, the user's commercial licenses will be moved to another pool, which depends on the licensing mode used by both of these companies. If the user account is deleted, this user's licenses will return to the pool used to obtain licenses by this user.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s it.
