In this guide, we overview how you can easily add a Google Cloud Storage<\/a> account to MSP360 Managed Backup.<\/p>\n

Setting Up a Storage Account<\/h2>\n

First, you need to sign up for a trial account for MSP360 Managed Backup<\/a> by filling in the form on the sign-up page. If you already have an account, sign in to it.<\/p>\n

To use your Google Cloud Storage account, choose not to use MSP360\u2019s test 2GB storage.<\/p>\n

When you are in the MSP360 Managed Backup console, go to the \u201cStorage\u201d tab, then press \u201cStorage accounts\u201d. Here you can see all your connected storage accounts.<\/p>\n

To add a new one, press the \u201cAdd Account\u201d button in the upper-right corner, and then choose \u201cGoogle Cloud Storage\u201d.<\/p>\n

You will then be able to set a display name for the new account and specify the credentials of your cloud storage account, including the service account email, binary key, and project ID.<\/p>\n

To find the service account email, go to the Google Cloud console, then to the \u201cIAM and Admin\u201d section, then to the \u201cService accounts\u201d section. Choose an existing service account or create a new one. Then you will see a generated service account email.<\/p>\n

To find the binary code file, press the \u201cActions\u201d button for the chosen service account and then press \u201cCreate key\u201d. You will see the file downloading. Upload this file to the MSP360 Managed Backup console.<\/p>\n

Then, to find the project ID, select the name of your project in the top bar of the Google Cloud console, and you will see a pop-up window with a list of your projects, with project IDs next to them. Choose the one you need.<\/p>\n

After you have provided all the required information, please press \u201cNext\u201d.<\/p>\n

Backup Destination<\/h3>\n

In the next step, you need to create a backup destination. To do this, set a display name for your destination, select a storage class, a location, and either choose the bucket you want to use or create a new one.<\/p>\n
