Here\u2019s a guide on full server recovery to the Microsoft Azure VM service.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Prerequisites<\/h2>\n<p>To perform server recovery to the Azure VM service you need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/blog\/image-backup-and-recovery\/\">image-based backup<\/a><\/li>\n<li>To <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/partners\/microsoft-azure\/\">sign up to Azure VM<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You are limited by 1TB per disk on restore - this is Microsoft Azure limitation for Azure VMs.<\/p>\n<h2>Full System Recovery to Microsoft Azure VM<\/h2>\n<p>1. Go to tab Backup Storage, find your completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/blog\/file-level-vs-image-level-backup\/\">image-based backup<\/a> and right-click it<\/p>\n<p>2. From the drop-down menu choose the\u00a0Restore to Azure VM\u00a0option<\/p>\n<p>3. Sign in to your Microsoft Azure VM account<\/p>\n<p>4. In the opened\u00a0Restore Wizard choose the\u00a0Restore as Azure Virtual Machine<\/p>\n<p>5. Select partitions, you need to restore<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28280 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-11.png\" alt=\"Select partitions\" width=\"648\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-11.png 648w, https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-11-300x233.png 300w, https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-11-624x485.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6. Specify the details for the\u00a0Azure Virtual Machine Instance you are going to restore to<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-28289 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-14.png\" alt=\"Azure Virtual Machine Instance details\" width=\"648\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-14.png 648w, https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-14-300x233.png 300w, https:\/\/www.msp360.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image-14-624x485.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>8. Select the option for Temporary Instance. You can select your local infrastructure or the Azure's<\/p>\n<p>9. If you have selected Azure as your temporary instance, enter details for it<\/p>\n<p>10. Specify the notifications settings.
