MSP360 Remote Assistant 1.5 adds new remote connection options and features like multi-monitor support. Read on to learn more about the latest changes.

The conventional method of connecting to a remote computer with MSP360 Remote Assistant entails entering a PIN. This secure method requires you know the rotating PIN in advance, but it's not particularly convenient if you want to frequently connect to your own computer. Furthermore, this authentication type is not practical if you have multiple users on your computer and you want to be able to log in as a different user.
That's why we've implemented an unattended access connection option in Remote Assistant 1.5 which allows you to authenticate using your Windows user credentials instead of a PIN. When enabled, you simply enter the remote machine's Remote Assistant ID, enter your Windows credentials, and you're good to go!
NB: Remote Assistant should be installed for every user whose credentials you might use when connecting.
Unattended access can be enabled in settings on the target computer by selecting the required checkbox:
Note: Unattended Access only works together with encryption.
If unattended access is enabled, you will be prompted to enter your Windows credentials (login & password) to authenticate.
Alternatively, you can expand the username drop-down menu and select Other user.
You will then be redirected to the login screen where you can select the required user.
Another handy new feature is the support for multiple monitor setups on the target machine. Remote Assistant now lets you select which monitor of the target machine you'd like to see when connecting.
